Our printed pictures look much better than these website images. Browsers often badly spoil their hues. They can accentuate primary colours so much that they get unbalanced. Everything turns too green, too red and too blue – and particularly on a quality screen! Given their small pixel size, the low resolution is disastrous too. Our original images contain from 64x to 128x as many pixels and each of these real pixels holds twice as much colour information.
Images downloaded from the Picture Gallery page may be viewed under better conditions, especially the large version that has more pixels.
